At the quarterpole

Just finished week two. Kind of.

I skipped my Insanity workout for today, and opted to play basketball for an hour and a half instead. I’m about 100% more tired than I’ve been after an Insanity workout in the past few days.

That’s not to say Insanity isn’t working, because it’s definitely working — I weighed in at 156.8 immediately after playing, and chugging a giant bottle of water. I started at 161.8, so I’m quite pleased. Feel much tighter overall, too. Used to hang like wizard sleeve.

I did get through Thursday and Friday sans shitting my pants or vomiting profusely, so go me. Only a tiny baby vomit.

I had planned to do my Insanity workout after covering a tennis match this morning, but that got derailed by a pretty entertaining match. Those kids were really getting after it, and it made me want to go out and compete and crush some souls. So, I did. And actually doubled my calories burned today vs. my planned workout.

Other than the weight lost, I can already tell a difference. I’m a bit quicker laterally (which isn’t saying much) and I was able to jump over a phonebook. I was giving the poor kid trying to guard me buckets. BUCKETS SON. It had been a while since I  was able to do anything than jack 26 footers and pray.

I’m about to murder some wings and enjoy a tiny glass bottle Coke, before my day off. Next week will be tough, because I’m heading to Lake Norman for a bachelor party on Friday right after work. Have a feeling I won’t be doing plyometric cardio circuit, unless it’s some game the entertainers force us into. It won’t be, because plyometric cardio circuit ISN’T a game. It’s serious shit.
